The delay is not over political disputes, but rather because the Chinese language can be written in two ways - using simplified and traditional scripts. Rules are being dev

I Swear Shutter Island Was Opening This Week

Just to try to reclaim my dignity in that I had it from a reliable source that Shutter Island was opening this week in Bangkok.     For those of you wondering what this journal is about . . . we had an event to go see Shutter Island on Sunday.  To my surprise it was not playing at Central World . . . or BigC . . . or the Lido . . . or Siam Paragon.   But according to BK Magazine it opened on Mar 18 even though the listings we saw online said it was still "Coming Soon"   WTF?!??

Thailand Friends is Twitterific

For those of you who use and love Twitter we're testing out a new feature where you can get Journal and Event updates on Twitter.  I'm not ready to say it's completely foolproof at the moment but I've been testing it personally for the last several days and it seems to work pretty well.  I haven't noticed any major glitches so I thought I would open it up to the TF membership and see how it goes. That being said, due to the limitation that Twitter emposes of 140 characters, if the URL to the Jour

Shutter Island

Anybody up for seeing Shutter Island on Sunday?  It's the newest Martin Scorsese flick starring Leonardo DiCaprio and there seems to be a lot of buzz around it.  I've posted an event so sign up and we can meet up on Sunday around 2pm at Central World.  I don't have the showtimes yet but I'll try to swing by on Thursday when it opens to get when it's showing and maybe we can grab a bite before or adjust the time as necessary.  As far as a meeting place . . . right out in front of the main theatre
