I couldn't sleep, so I got up and decided to unpack my new iMac. Bloody hell, this thing is big.I just set it up temporarily to check everything was working, before I cleared my desk:It looks really odd that you can see almost the whole TF page without having to scroll down:Compare the screen size to my 15" MBP:Next job is to transfer all my stuff across frommy old G5 iMac.
Well, after 5 weeks of waiting, my new 27", quad core iMac finally arrived this afternoon. Looks like I've got some setting up to do tonight, or this weekend. :-)
Just got home, almost 21 hours after I woke up in Samui at 7am on Friday morning.Miss Thailand World 2009 was on my flight from BKK. I found it quite amusing that she wore her tiara and sash pronouncing her title all through the airport, in the business class lounge, and all the way to the plane. Not taking them off until she took her seat, where she crawled under her duvet and went to sleep. I was surprised that she was not flying Thai.I wonder if I will see her out and about here in London? Well, I kept looking down at this rock, and seeing people climb it. So I decided to get off my a*** and do it.It took about 45 mins from my hotel room to descend and climb, and about half hour back again.You can see from the pic below, how the villages cling precariously to the edge of the cliffs:in the pic below, my room is right at the top. just under the terrace with the handrail in front: My room is right at the top.

I think that there must be a law here that houses must be painted white and blue. However there are exceptions. The villages on the west coast are the most picturesque, the way they are all perched on the cliffs. I visited Oia, pronounced ee-a, the other day, and took these pics: In the last picture, they have even painted the cliffs white. :-)
After arriving late at night in complete darkness, I woke up to this view, with my breakfast on my terrace: My hotel is 300 metres above the sea. Perched on a cliff. this is part of the view, looking down on the caldera:
Well, I am now in Santorini. Arrived late last night. Woke up this morning to an amazing view across the volcano crater, with a couple of cruise liners arriving. Went for a jog, then breakfast on the terrace watching the sun rise. Will try and post some piccies later. IF I have the time. Left the rain behind in London. Loks like its gonna be a good day.

Today, I took part in the London Skyride. Its a fun ride for all the family, organised by the Mayor of London to encourage more bicycle use. An estimated 50,000 people took part last year.They closed off a large part of central London for this. Could you imagine this in Bangkok?No. Neither could I.
