Its snowing in London

Well, I just went outside, and its snowing, thick snow. It has already settled, and there is more forecast. It looks great. It is unusual nowadays to get snow in London, and we have had it a couple of already times this year. They say it is the coldest winter for years. It looks great from here, sitting inside in the warm, with the heating on, but won't be much fun when I have to be out in the minus temperatures all day tomorrow. it is cols weather coming across the North Sea from Russia apparen

Well all that talk of love potions yesterday, got me thinking of some old classics from the days when everyone was "luvved up", as they used to say. Hence my earlier journal posting of Ce ce Rogers: Someday. Here is another one from Joe Smooth: Promised land. Enjoy:

GPS watch to track bf/gf

In London Lite newspaper this evening:People could soon keep track of their boyfriends or girlfriends using a hi-tech satellite watch. The 149 GB pounds watch, called  Num8, contains a chip similar to a sat-nav unit, and sends text messages giving the wearers location. British firm Lok8u said ti is accurate to within three metres. It was originally designed for parents to give to their children, but could also be used for partners.Do you suspect someone? :-)

My Christmas trip.

Last week, I went with friends to spend Christmas in Annecy, in the French Alps. We stayed at a friends house, that had amazing views across lake Annecy, to the mountains beyond. We ate lots of good food, and drank lots of good wine. We also visited a couple of ski resorts up in the mountains, where the weather was great up above the clouds. I even managed to get a little bit sunburnt. I also had my first ski lesson, but that is a story for another journal. Anyway, here are a few photos from my

Problem. How could this happen?

Well this is an odd one. I have uploaded a lot of photos from my Christmas trip to the Photobucket website.. The problem arose when I tried to post them to a journal. When I tried to insert an image, by copying the direct link, as I normally do, I get a picture of some guy knocking back drink in Manila. It is one of Stu_Thailand's pics that he posted recently. When I went back to Photobucket and checked, It seems as if all my recent uploads have the same link. WTF has happened?Stu, what have you

Viagra for Christmas trees

Swedish scientists have discovered that Viagra is the perfect plant food to perk up your Christmas tree. Arginine, an amino acid used in the sex drug, makes the spruce trees grow taller and stronger, and stops cut trees from dropping, or sagging too early. :-)

No more winking ;-)

According to an article in a London evening newspaper "London Lite", tonight:Russian mobile phone tycoon Oleg Teterin has trademarked the emoticon. It means companies who wish the group of punctuation marks that convey a wink must now pay "tens of thousands of dollars" for a licence. What a clever ******.I wonder what else there is out there to be grabbed.
