I just decided one of my NY Resolutions for 2010 is to learn Thai. My spoken Thai is OK, but my listening sucks. I can read menus and road signs but not long sentences in newspapers or books.
So I need a school or teacher recommendation... I need a trained, professional teacher who can explain grammar rules to me - I don't want someone who answers, "That's just the way Thai people say it..." Just as in English there are rules governing tenses and sentence structures, there are rules in Thai.
Well maybe 'star' is overstating it a little... Ok a lot.
But I switched onto Cinemax tonight and saw they are showing Sniper 3. This is a truly dreadful movie, but in the first scene you can see English_bob as an American soldier in a Pentagon army base (really a disused roller disco in Chiang Mai)

Hi TFers... I have a warning for you about a virus.... If you get a blue message on screen that looks like it's from Windows Internet Explorer, read carefully... It says...."Attention if your computer is struck by the Spyware it can.... etc" There are a couple of spelling mistakes eg "craehes" instead of "crashes". Then you have to click to download Antivirus 2009.... BUT!!!! THAT is the VIRUS!! Do NOT download it!!!I did it last week and had to reinstall Windows. It's a real pain and costs

As most of you know, I got a YELLOW CARD!!!! Yes, I was a naughty boy and I broke the rules. As a result Japamerican sent two leather-clad bikers to my room to beat my senseless and shove my yellow card where it might never be seen again (unless I get searched at the airport).
