As I go through some of the TF profiles, something has concerned me...There are a LOOOT of smokers here. Now I'm not the one to tell you guys who smoke how to live your lives, but please, take some advice....Ease up just a bit. Especailly the young 20 plus crowd. If some of you guys look carefully at some of the profiles here, (or even your own). They're starting too look a bit older than they look and it's damn scary!Hey I'm a caring person and I'm not afraid to admit that, all I'm saying is cut it down a bit!. If you do that, you'll feel a hell of a lot better..trust me on that!

Do i look older than my actually age?? Really scary? Can u guess how old am i? :P

well, thanks very much for this advise. i told all of my friend that i will quit smoking when i get married. But the problem is, i don't know when. Maybe in the next 10 year and probably i will die from lungs cancer before i find my groom LOL

Even though you have smoked for many years, quitting now can actually increase your life span and reduce your medical expenses in long-run. I hope people can give up "coolness" from smoking for better quality of life. it's an easy decision.

If I have ANY regrets in my life ...it would be that I ever started smoking. I have tried so many times and so many ways to quit. This may sound a bit corny but....My Mrs conned me by telling me that my birthday gift to her would be to quit smoking. YEAH RIGHT!!!!!Next Idea please?

However she must have struck a nerve or discovered a way to make me feel guilty! I am happy and so very proud to report that I haven't smoked a cigarette (or anything else...LOL) for 6 weeks today! I hope my brotha Derwin didn't jinx me by bringing this topic up! Anyway...I will return home in a couple of weeks and be able to make someone, other than myself very happy. A big thanks to my Lamduan for making me feel for someone elses future, if not my own.

Me not being a smoker, I can't understand the reasons why people smoke, some say it's too calm they're nerves, relax, etc.....as the English say, BOLLOCKS!..No need for those cancer sticks. NO need. So far 1 TFer just quit smoking. I would like to see a few drop the butts too.

I've been a smoker since I was 13 years of age & I have smoked for 50 years. I'm not proud of that fact. Had I had all the information available to me as they have to-day I would never of started. In my younger years my 2 best Amigo's were " Nic Otine & Al Alkyhall". But as I played a lot of sport & trained a lot it didn't affect me. In fact I was fitter than most guys who never smoked at all. Being active kept my lungs in good order. If you don't do any activity, that is when the congestion in your lungs accumulate. The chemicals though remain which increase your chance of getting lung cancer& heart problems. But some people who have never smoked at all, develop lung cancer, Heart disease. Those disease can also be hereditary Smoking is definitely bad for health.I don't believe in the notion of Passive Smoking at all. There are numerous other factors involved. The way food is processed, adding preservatives, generic modification. Also the air we breathe it is far from being fresh. Industry & the like have polluted the Atmosphere to such an extent that now we have a greater problem, Global Warming. How much do you think all the smokers in the World, are contributing too that Phenomenon? I don't know, that's why i am asking, I'm sure it would only be minute.

I'll leave it at that. I'm going to have a coffee & also put another nail in the coffin. ( have a smoke)

Cheers .Puffin Billy.

Just adding another comment. I don't think smoking ages you. I think it is the alcohol which does the damage & also it is in your genetic make up.

No I am not a Tee- totaler. I drink socially & only Beer.

I feel sorry for smokers, once you get hooked to the habit, probably worst than being an alcholic, because of the second hand smoke? It's a bad habit that is just like burning up money, and having to deal with your health issues later on! Becoming smoke free is so much better, for the smoker and others, never mind about the stink on your clothes and body. There is a lot help out there to help you quit this deadly bad habit..........do yourself a favor and try to quit!

The first thing i noticed was i always had change in my pocket and how bad cigarettes really smell, they stink.......8-)
