Lastnight before the big crisis in Thailand happen.. I was talking with my friend on the phone.. we had an appointment to go for the big protest to “END the Taksin System” on 20 Sep. (Tonight) I heard the news about the mob from up country as well,.. they were used by Mr.PM I just think about what if no COUP lastnight.. what would happen tonight… MOB vs MOB … we might kill each others…and someone might found my dead body on the street somewhere, who knows, right?

What’s a relief…

3. I believe in Democracy
4. I never agree with the revolution or coup… BUT

Democracy in Thailand is different from the western countries… the ppl in our country, especially the ones who live in up country are uneducated.. and poor..so they think ppl who rich are good cuz rich ppl will give them money and won’t cheat them at all.. and make them addicted with something else.. like.. cell phones.. motorbikes cars.. etc. hrrr… The mass media like free TV were taken over…so the ppl can get only thing the gov. want they to know. When the most of ppl in Thailand think this way made election just something that bad politicians use for gain their power to corruption.

I don't think your country is bad because of the coup. I see how many good Thai people dislike Toxin very much. I also see that he is very much like most of very corrupt amerikan politicians, more interested in making himself rich and screwing the people. Thailand is a much better country than amerika, but I am sad to see so much amerikan poison, like McDonalds and big corporate food (garbage) products coming to Thailand and making Thais sick.

It seems to me, the coup was the only way to get the corrupt Toxin out of Thailand, I see that as a good thing :-)

All my life i have travelled and in the last few years i have lived in Ukraine, Bosnia, Serbia, Croatia, Macedonia Kosovo and Albama. All countries that have over recent years seen a lot of blood spilt, plenty of which i have seen.

I have tavelled to your beautiful country 7 times over the last 6 years and have strong personal feelings and connections.

One thing that always amazes me is that people always assume things. You make comaprisons against other countries despite the fact that maybe you have not ben there. You talk of the Western "civilised" world, look at the history of the countries i have listed.

yes we "farang" can never and will never think the same as a Thai, but it dos not mean we can not care and hope the best for you all, whilst doing our best to understand and appreciate your current situation

The whole World just saw how Thailand executed a civilized coup. No shots. No blood.

The idea that coups are never a good thing for any country or government is total BS from the rulers and decision makers. Whats important are the results of the changes.

We won't know for sure for a few years.

Let's just hope that this time, they WILL get it right, that they WILL choose someone who WILL end corruption and poverty. Let's hope that gone are the days where rich greedy pricks can buy people's heart and opinions with money. Let's just hope.

I followed the news on CNN, and was amazed that so called reporters that lived in Thailand for several years could not understand what wat going on. They all seemed to compare the coup in Thailand with any other military coup that happend in the rest of the world.

Shame on you CNN for even suggesting that the army will split up over this coup...everyone knows that the army and King are one voice and one hand.

With respect to coups in general, i must admit that probably most "Democratic countries" felt a bit worried about what happend. But all people who know Thai, Thailand, The King, politics and Taksin know that something needed to happen before Taksin will split up the country and make all go down.
