The Women's council at the company I working for organised an event "Executive Presence and Communication” Panel Discussion. The guest speakers were 4 business women, each speaker gave speech in different topics. At first I was there because my kinda boss said as a committe he promised to bring 10 ppl.. (LOL) but actually I wanted to see one of the speaker, Dr.Cathleen Maleenont too. I will be really regret if I didn't join. First speaker was a Chairperson of Toshiba Group of Thailand, she was talking about how to communicate to each other, said all Toshiba staffs are equally important, I love the concept of Heart-to-Heart. I just feel like they give everyone respect and Human Resources Management is the most matter that Toshiba give priority to... Even though she seems not a professional speaker but she got me listen to her every words. She got my heart! Then the second one was Dr.Cathleen Maleenont, Assistant to the Senior Executive Vice President of BEC World PCL. She's a good looking one you may have seen her from any media. She was talking about how hard she has to prove to anyone that she can take this job. BEC is her family's business and as a new generation she got big pressure when she first joined. She tried a few different roles and ended up with Investor Relationship thing and till now she has perfectly proved that she's not just her father's daughter who just come to take a job with no skill. The most favourite one of mine is the third speaker, Ms. Pratana Manomaiphiboon, Chief Financial Officer of Minor International PCL. This woman is a brilliant! Before she started giving a speech, she teasing us that even though she's a CFO but still it's not easy for her to talk about her job as a CFO in front of the Bankers who are real expert in financial thing.. said sorry if she may said something wrong. She was a CFO of Central Pattana Group for 20 years then she resigned and joined Minior Inter since 1998. She left CPN because by that time property business was freezed so she thought she probably have nothing much to do atleast for 5 years till business will be started again. This woman amazed me a lot, apart from my bossy whom is my idol, my no.one inspiration. She's funny, smart and beautiful in her age. I heard her name many times before I got to see her at the conference. She shared us what she got from been worked with those big people, she said she always have to try harder as she's many steps behind her boss, Mr.William E.Heinecke, the founder of Minor Group. Since he always surrounded by high performance people so she was working very hard to stay in her position and now she became the most important one too. She's so cool!! The last speaker is from IBM Thailand, at IBM they really give new generations opportunities, every year they will have 3 groups of trainee which will be those shined ones, almost there one and the last group is those school girls. They will be trained and have a mentor who is the most senior one for each trainees. I don't know much about this women just feel that she's the best speaker, I meant she got all confidence and people cannot not listen to her... She also speaks like native english speaker (that's made me cant really understand her lol) I got back from this event with big smile on my face even though I got my dear bossy a bit annoyed to left her alone at work when she was supposed to be on her vacation but she came in to do some work on friday and had to hear damn telephone ringing for hours. Last week I was really bad, I got in less than 9.30 everyday for whole week but my boss probably too busy to notice. ((Sorry Boss! Muahzz))
