My dear uncle came here yesterday so we were talking about this and that. He's 15 years older than me and we were very close when I was younger.  I don't know why it turn to this topic but suddenly he asked me....  "So, are you gonna stay like this, be an old maid?" I responded quickly enough... "WHAT uncle?!? What do you mean, OLD MAID? I'm 25 and you calling me an old maid??!!??!He said, "Yeah, but you soon to be 30." Friend of mine is 22. She's going out of her mind and swears she will go live in a wat (as a nun) if she doesn't get married in the next year.. Her family are constantly teasing her about being single... Guess in traditional Thai terms girls past 24/25 and unmarried are 'old maids'. Certainly seems that Thai guys don't have much interest in girls past that age... They only seem to be interested in the fresh 18 yr old's... Oh well guess that means more 'old maids' for us Farangs :)

PattayaDaz : why ppl think so? That doesnt sound good.. At my company, many 30+ women are still single... I dont see this strange untill my uncle said this to me.

My uncle said Im a girl so if Im close to 30 and still totally singel then it's a sign of being an old maid. Just becoz I'm a woman doesnt mean I cant live life without a guy.

I actually planned not to be in relationship atleast till Dec/07 so Im absolutely an old maid.. LOL (in this case, if thing happened then I will let it be but Im not looking for)
