Namchai (generousness)
I don't know what the meaning of "Nam chai" in English. May be "generousness" is close to this word. However, lately I got some bad experience... Case 1Monday, I went to see movie with my classmate she left me to Chonburi before the movie was over. I had no umbella at all... and it was hard rain outside. That time was 9 pm. I really needed to go home. I saw a taxi parked in front of the cineplex. So I waved my hand and that taxi were waiting for me.. I ran out through the rain to ask the taxi driver to go to Ratchada... He just smile and said he wouldn't go. **** him I ran to him through the rain and he wouldn't go ?? I said "You really JAI RAI (so mean) don't you see the rain is so hard and I ran from there to take your taxi, think about when you don't have any passenger, damn it..!!" then I just slammed the door extremely hard. Like haven heard me.. a new taxi just parked the car behind that... I ran to that taxi asked if he could take me to Ratchada... He said "Ok" When I came in he told me that taxi always play hard to get in this time... but if i go around Ratchada at midnight ... they always wait for the passengers on the street... I really can't stand it.Case 2Tuesday, I didn't drive to work I left my car at home. Prefer taking BTS and MRT... it alot faster.... While I was taking shuttle van from my work place to BTS Nana I checked my handbag and found out that I forgot my wallet on my desk. I called everyone who was in my dept. and still there before I left. No one answer the phone. So I made up my mind to asked for help from someone I know outside the dept. She kept my wallet in the safe place (thks her so much)However, my real problem hadn't sloved yet. I had only 10 baht in my handbag. It was ok if I took BTS, I still had credit in card enough to take me to Asoke but MRT card the credits is -6 it couldn't bring me home for sure. Then I tried to call my coworker (farang) who lives in Soi 11. He was back to his aprt already. I told him about my problem. I couldn't believe he just said "Oh, that's too bad" and "Oh, that's too bad"Well, he wasn't far from where I was at all... did he ever thing I needed money to go home... not 1000 baht I need only 22 bahts. Jai rai makkkkkkk...Like heaven could hear me again... I ran into my coworker, she is a new staff, can't make much money... she gave me 200 baht to go home.. SEE? In my case my friend lost money 60000 baht.. she had my 1000 baht... but I said I gave it to her... no worriesMy friend forgot her wallet at home.. and she had no money at all I lend her 1700 baht plus treated her lunch...I know we are living in material world... but we shouldn't be material persons na..
