hi space...

if i got a cellphone in dublin then travel to france, italy, switzerland, germany, scotland, england and a couple more...

i got it from vodafone...and i top up teh credit everyday, 25 euro/ day and i could receive phone call from north america or phoned to north america less than 30 mins...then my credit ran out..they collect the credit both ways...i mean, they count both airtime and service charge.

iis there any way that's cheaper than this?

There are cellphone long distance services that offer local numbers to call and then you are routed through to long distance. In North America these are Primus, Wintel etc, not sure of the names in Europe. With this service, you keep a list of the local numbers that apply, then you get charged your normal local rate, plus a flat fee per minute of long distance. Good luck - J
