Pai in the Sky...

Some people noticed I haven't been fighting in the forums lately... some people thought I was trapped at Suvarnaphumi... some people thought I was on a Koala Safari.The truth is, Iam_sweethoney and English_Bob went to Pai for a few days.Here are some of the photos we took....DSC_0001.jpgOvernight sleeper train - not too easy for sleeping on!DSC_0016.jpgDSC_0026.jpg  Chinese food in a Chinese Village...DSC_0029.jpg Chinese VillageDSC_0074.jpg Cute girl with lanternDSC_0106.jpgMist at the waterfall DSC_0115.jpgCool and refreshing.DSC_0156.jpg We saw a music show with Thai jazz singer - Viyada Komarakul Na Nakorn - After the show we went backstage and chatted for a while and took some pictures  - a very nice lady.  She even sang a song for us (But unfortunately forgot the words!)DSC_0166.jpgI liked this photo for the rich colours and warm lighting - even though it was outdoors.DSC_0168.jpgI took this one from the window of my room early next morning - The guy is separating the rice from the chaff - hard work and he was doing it all day! Just a warning for first time visitors - PAI IS COLD!!!  I didn't believe it myself (coming from cold Manchester) but it really is!!  Wear LOTS of clothes! DSC_0176.jpgBird hitchhikers.DSC_0186.jpgTold you it was cold!  We were all wearing hats, jumpers and coats yet we were STILL freezing!DSC_0193.jpg We stayed in the last room - the one with the best view! DSC_0229.jpgMost of the group come from a Taekwando school in Bangkok - so naturally there were life or death fights on top of mountains.DSC_0232.jpgA dopey *****... and Iam_sweethoney.DSC_0249.jpgHot spring.... VERY hot - we boiled eggs in the water!DSC_0257.jpg Proof that we really did go there. DSC_0313.jpg  One of the highlights of the trip was playing with an elephant in the river - as much fun as it looks!So here are two more photos of it...DSC_0321.jpgDSC_0348.jpg DSC_0010.jpgBeautiful coffee shop overlooking the valley...DSC_0008.jpgThe view...DSC_0019.jpg...and the cakes!DSC_0027.jpgand the girl..DSC_0040.jpg"Farang' in the valley.So I recommend anyone to go to Pai and check out the beautiful scenery and all the interesting places nearby.... but PLEASE take some warm clothes!
