Yesterday my friend Shannon AKA breakofdawning was writing in her journal how many Thais people often use the rude words as sh*t, f*ck etc. Well, I think they are aware of how rude these words are but they're using them anyway...presenting how cool they are...maybe? The influence of rap and hiphop culture, maybe? A few that I noticed who often say/type those words tend to like this kind of music...just my observation. No offense to the rap/hiphop fans. ...presenting how cool they are...like those Thais who smoke just 'cause they think it's cool to do so. Of course, this does NOT apply to everyone. Just some. Anyway, what made me think of writing this journal is because last night I went out to see a few gigs at one club and there was this American DJ, Dan Deacon, who couldn't speak French but he did talk a lot...he was madly fun by the way, though I haven't decided whether I like his music or not. Since he was talking A LOT in English, there was this crazy French frog kept yelling (right behind me...my hair smelled like his spits.) "MY NAME IS F*CKING JAMES, MY NAME IS F*CKING JAMES* and a few other stuff with an inclusion of the word f*ck.So I don't think it's only Thais after all.  (http://pariswhatsup.blogspot.com/2007/08/last-nightla-fleche-dor-part-ii.html)

Just so the ladies know...

There is no bigger turn off than a Thai girl who swears lots (maybe only a girl who swears a lot and tries to talk like a gangster).

In hindsight and with all my infinite wisdom (!), the teenage years, maybe even continuing into early 20's are insecure years. Most people feel a lack of identity, and use "being cool" as a defense to their personal insecurities. Swearing is one part, drink & drugs another, hair, makeup, clothes etc another, tattoos, sleeping around.... the list goes on. The sense of rebelling against the system normally finishes early to late 20's. It's just a stage most people go through before they realise who they want to be, and what they feel secure with... it's more commonly known as "growing up".

Get it?

We all use swear words, but sometimes excessive use of those words are either a turn off or becomes a habit that isn't exactly a kind of habit one should develope.

My point is, most people who speaks English with enough fluency will not to use those words, while those who don't really know how to speak English tends to us it more often and most often too excessively.

Funniest part is, many of those who know exactly where to use the word "****" and "****" in a sentence, they don't even know how to use other adjectives correctly. What kind of things they choose to learn, is in question.
