I got to talk to my boss-to-be on phone today. Unbelievable! I can understand him pretty good. He's a Chinese-Singaporean, forgot already if he been studied in UK/US or not but for sure he's married with 2 kids... lolz He's coming next week!!! I'm excited, well I feel sorry for him already since I'm the worst secy plus my boss is always do things herself so what I'm doing now are most likely about credit stuff. But with new boss who is new to Thailand and new position, I think my work life will be changed one way or another. My dear bossy talked to me about this change, said I will have to learn a lot to work with new boss and let see how things going, first of all my English skill will be improved(If not then I'll be in trouble!). Said she cannot take me with her since there are staffs there already. However, if I move with her, I don't know if I can help anything there but if I stay, of course I can help my team since I'm here for awhile already. I was wanted to be a good secretary since I first joined this team, it's not easy to be a good one so I give myself two years time to see if I could be any good in this role but I have never get to be a real secretary. Maybe I'll get to be one soon to my new boss. Hopefully, it will got me busy, I don't like to sit quietly, being busy is a lot more fun. But busy with secretary job will be fun or not I'm not quite sure though. I hope he will let me do financial related work still. There will be no farewell for my boss since she's going nowhere but the same building,  we're just heading to the beach altogether. That's sound good! Just in case, if anyone here interested in private bank products, I don't mind to introduce you to my dear boss, first, if you have total asset value greater than US$ 10mio then you can be her client.

Oiy maybe you are better then secretary and actually administrative assistant. An administrative assistant does more then type letters and files things. You are smart and driven I think if you show and tell new boss you have desire to learn business more and eventually move even beyond admin asst he will give you oppurtunity to learn and train in new things.

Best of luck with new boss and don't forget to take pics on beach day. hehe

LOL... Lyna dear, he doesnt sound to have such accent... he speaks slow and gentel too from what I heard today.

Paul... My dear boss introduces me her P.A. not a secretary tho' But he's new, it would be better if I can assist him anything for awhile but the problem is being a real secy is quite new to me too.. lol Do believe me, to be a good secy is not easy.

Don't worry so much about your job, you'll do fine, with all the changes that go with new management......any boss, can only expect their staff to try to do the best that they can and nothing more. Keep focused and just do the best you can, and everything will work out...........
