Why wearing black? We are doing that to pay respect to the Kind's sister. I dont remember the formal in Eng. In any organisations, we are urge (possibly not the right word tho but something along that line, asking to do the same thing, not force) to do that for 100 days. Black is normally my signature but not on that day.

In any formal event here, you will see people wearing black.
