Not been a member on TF very long but I have to say I feel right at home already. Its makes me miss Thailand a little less and makes my next trip seem a little closer. I love the banter on here and how debates can get a little frisky sometimes but usually in a very friendly fashion (though there does seem 1 or 2 individuals who should list their hobbies as antagonising people, annoying people and being 4 star assholes!!) But I would like to thank everyone who has chatted away to me and made me feel at home and I hope I can buy some of you (not all or I will be skint!! and after all I am a stingy Scotsman lol!!) a singha or a shot when I hit Krung Thep later this year. You really are a lovely bunch of ex pats and homegrown Thais. (reaches for tissue) Oh look now, you've made me go all emotional now!!!

Jess, not at all - in fact in Scotland we only joke about people from Aberdeen (Northern city) as being stingy. Just a stereotype - it would be like me saying all Thai girls are go go bar girls!!! In other words not true!!! We can be very warm generous and have great sense of humour!!

lmao @ Peter. Quite right mate. My family roots are mostly Irish but one half is protestant and one half catholic so by all rights all family gatherings should consist of us shooting at each other!!!! lol
