PJack 1 Posted December 26, 2008 Report Share (many) christians believe it is their obligation to share the good news with you. if these guys are catholics (and they probably are not cause catholics do not evangelize as much as regular christians) you may be interested to note that the Pope said people need to be saved from homosexuality as badly as they need to be saved from HIV AIDS. And the Pope does not believe it is right to use a condom. He is not giving people a lot of wiggle room in morality and his numbers are way down. he could use a good strategy consulting firm - get McKinsey on it for a couple years maybe. anyway, I saw these cats at Asoke / Sukumvit a few weeks ago. CIA_Andie 0 Posted December 26, 2008 Report Share This is a TOTALLY wrong way to Evangelize to a non-believer!!! and it's super annoying when I saw it. Yes, I'm Christian but I don't think this is the right way to evangelize.....this way gonna annoy people and no one really pay attention or interest in them! Link to comment
CiaranM 13 Posted December 26, 2008 Report Share have u ever seen the knobs preaching at the end of KSR ? i'm not sure if they r trying to convert thai buddhists or convince farangs of the error of their ways ... but they sure do look and sounds like dumb fucks !!! Link to comment
farang_subson 0 Posted December 26, 2008 Report Share I find this sad. It's basically mental illness, exported from the West. You don't see Thai Buddhists pulling this crap in their own country, or elsewhere. For those who don't read Thai, the first one says "The Result of Evil is Death". That's fair enough, though it might be worth remembering that the result of goodness is also death. The second says that "Jesus is the Redeemer". Hmmmmm. I'd be curious to know what exactly goes through a Thai mind when they see that. I've seen these fools hanging out around the Ratchada/Lad-Prao intersection, warning of Armageddon. Link to comment
SweetieBabie 5 Posted December 26, 2008 Report Share Why do they have to use scare tactics ? I was many times handed out brochures written i will die in horrific ways if i'm not christian =( Link to comment
Jogger 0 Posted December 26, 2008 Report Share Princess, i love 'Shut up and let me go' by the Ting Tings, Can you email it tome please?? Link to comment
condotown 1 Posted December 26, 2008 Report Share For those non Thai readers who stumble across this entry, the sign that the man is holding roughly says: "The result of sin is death" ... And the flip side says ...... "Jesus redeemer" Link to comment
Dr_Mike 0 Posted December 26, 2008 Report Share The person is just another fool. They are all over New York too. Even people that were "non-Sinners" ALL died. The sign should say "Religion Sucks, you're all gonna die"! Everyone should watch the Bill Maher movie: "Religion". Link to comment
sunsnow 0 Posted December 26, 2008 Report Share These people are sometimes anywhere in the world. Meaning "End of the world is coming" castouts. Why everyone is immediatly here bashing Christianity. Besides, I mean, would this kind of "buzz" be here if any of us posted any of the buddhist mentally ill people waving their signs? Should I make a post about the protests against Thai Beverage going to SET...thats crazy if something...you dont see christians in thailand going on barricades about such things, only these nutty buddhists. SweetieBabie 5 Posted December 26, 2008 Report Share http://www.chick.com/reading/tracts/0390/0390_01.asp This should be interesting.... If you can read Thai.... The real question is... Why does Christianity bash others believes and religions? Link to comment
sunsnow 0 Posted December 26, 2008 Report Share SweetieBabie: uhm, better use a bit of source critique. Secondly, essentially that cartoon IS true about how "buddhism" works in Thailand. I don't want to go to more deep into analysing that tract nor that website, better leave it. There are certain things on my mind that I do not think are good to say aloud on this forum. Anyhow...you are using quite sweeping therms there with "Christianity". There are hundreds of denominations. Ps. I do like the music too! Actually the "Rise" is smoooooooth. Link to comment
