So I'm back... from an enforced abscence...

As most of you know, I got a YELLOW CARD!!!! Yes, I was a naughty boy and I broke the rules. As a result Japamerican sent two leather-clad bikers to my room to beat my senseless and shove my yellow card where it might never be seen again (unless I get searched at the airport).

{Actually I kind of liked Luke (the one with the blond hair) and if he reads this can he give me a call please.}

As it happens, I didn't actually KNOW I'd broken a rule, because I'D NEVER READ THEM!!

Of course I hadn't read them... I'm a guy. We don't read rules, instruction books, self-help books, maps or guides to women's bodies. NO WAY... we just find out by trial and error.

But now I HAVE read the rules. Now I am a RULE MASTER... now I'm gonna quote the rules at anyone who breaks them.

The Golden Rule is... Treat everyone with mutual respect... (this is the one I broke by the way, by starting a forum about someone and using his name).

In light of a few recent incidents and A LOT of forum posts, perhaps this one should be engraved at the top of the TF screen.

Here's a small sample of the last couple of weeks....

Toilet mouth, xenophobic, hypocrite, bullshit spreader, moron, meathead, a**hole, wanker, idiot, bollocks, my arse, prick, dickheads, tosser, cheese-eating surrender monkeys, Sun-reading, right wing uneducated bigot, lowlife, fcukwit, *****, pansy-ass liberal, agnst-ridden easly chumps, whiny-litytle *****, sucker, panty waste (sic) bastards.

(incidentally there's a rule forbidding profanity lol)

Another rule states - TF does not tolerate disruptive activity online, such as persistent off-topic comments and postings...

... well there are a few guys who can never post on a forum again!

Anyway, I just thought maybe I should let people know what happens when you get a yellow card.

1 You get a PM from a moderator telling you you're in breach of the rules and you have been carded. It also says you won't be able to use 'certain areas' of TF for 3 days. (but you have to find those out by accident)

2 What I found out was -

People can't vote for you and you can't vote for people.

You can read journals and forums, but you can't participate.

You can receive PM's and testimonials, but you can't reply or send any. (Sorry for people who sent me PM's asking "Why did you get a yellow card?"... I couldn't answer)

However, it's only for three days!!! Hoorah.

So in the last three days, I've seen wondrous things I hadn't seen before because I was always glued to the TF screen... Yes wondrous things like sky and sun and trees and birds.

One more thing about the yellow card... when it expires... Japamerican sends you a virtual kiss (well he did for me anyway!)

That wasn't for the yellow card...Luke told me some stories...

Rules are made purposely vague to be better twisted and shaped to justify the will of the governing power. TF is no exception. Welcome back Bob.
