A bit of a contrast today but 2 cracking tunes nonetheless; We start off with what is, imho, the ultimate and best alternative Xmas tune ever; the utterly mental Pogues with the late great Kirsty McColl and the classic 'Fairytale of New York'Then adding a bit of soul to the mix, there can be only one; the Godfather of Soul, Mr James Brown with 'Soulful Xmas'. If this doesn't make you want to get up and shake your booty, then you are either deceased or too drunk!!Tomorrow is a peaceful today with two very mellow, very classic chilled tunes that should not be missed!!Xmas shopping? Bah humbug!!

Was in BKK last year for Christmas and threw a Christmas party on Crimbo eve out beside the swimming pool... Night before I realised I had not 1 Christmas tune to play... luckily was able to steal onto someones internet but had **** bandwidth.. would have taken days to download a Christmas album so was forced to download just single tunes...

Needless to say the tune I went for was The Pogues - "Fairytale of New York".... could have played it on repeat all night and not get bored.

Managed to download a couple of others so went for "Slade - Merry x-mas everybody" and "Jackson 5 - Santa Clause is coming to town"

In the end was a complete waste of time... hip-hop was put on after 5 minutes.. :(
