A few years ago at a party, the flat owner disappeared into the kitchen and ten minutes later came back with a bowl of something that looked like a cross between wallpaper paste and cake batter. He then proceeded to put a speaker on its back, cover the speaker with cling film, and pour the 'liquid' on. Then he put some bass heavy tunes on and left us all in stitches!! Apparently this is what is called a 'non-Newtonian liquid' (a mixture of cornstarch and water. It acts like this because it contains a certain kind of polymer, which is a naturally occurring substance that's a pseudo-plastic. When pressure, vibration or heat is applied, it acts like a solid. It's a non-Newtonian fluid. It is amazing.)You can do this at home; all you need is corn starch and water mixed together, a speaker (remember the cling film though) and some nice bassy tunes...Or you can fill a pool or bath with it as in last vid - and yes you can run across it!!!So did Jesus walk on water? Or did the disciples mix corn starch into the Sea of Galilee??Oh, and it is also called Oobleck, which is just a great name!!!

interesing. thanks.

as far as Jesus, in those days people, most of them could not swim. he came from fishermen, so he could probably swim quite well... hence to those who had no concept of living on and in water... Jesus could walk on water... at least that's what his shills said.
