BMX meets Parkour

Saw this guy through in Edinburgh a few weeks a go. His name is Danny MacAskill and he is one of the leading street riders around at the moment. Street riding/street trials is sort of like parkour, but on a specially adapted mountain bike. It's great to see the looks on peoples faces when he suddenly takes his bike off a bridge or over a drop. The move off the tree in the first video is stunning!!

Thanks for that.

What I love about these types of sport and especially the top exponents of them is the vision they have for what is possible. They possess a completely different view of the world that is very refreshing...

@Iain - nice to see the urban aspect. He has got a great command of body, mind and bike. I know the trial scene over here, as I used to book those guys and girls as highlights for my bike events. It is amazing to see them do the show, but it hurts to see them practise and fail..

I found this by accident. He was doing tricks a few weeks ago with couple of other guys in the centre of Edinburgh. Got told his name then a friend sent the links. I love the parkour aspects of how he utilises the urban space all around him. There is one point in the longer video where he is on a bike shop roof! If he had gone the other way he would have been on the roof outside my old flat!!!
