Apple will be releasing their new operating system, "Snow Leopard", this coming friday, 28th August). It is available for pre-order from the Apple website. www.apple.comNot so much a new OS, as an upgrade of Leopard. They have concentrated on both improving, and reducing the size of Leopard. 

Will give it a few months before I try it....... can't deal with the inevitable bugs and bullshit.

Relax Chris, you switched already but it will take some time for the nightmares to truly disapear. I didn't have any issues with the last upgrade and seems this will be no different. All my current apps have already received their updates. Should be a huge performance boost to everything Adobe.

Fools rush in while angles shy way. I think Snow Leopard will be a good upgrade, never hurts to wait and see how many "bugs" early birds experience.

Other news, Apple is going to redesign and upgrade the Macbook White which I believe is number one selling computer.

I still have an older Macbook Pro with Leopard installed on it, I'm going to install Snow Leopard on it and see how it does but will leave my current install of Leopard intact on my main machine.

I have a 3 year old MacBook, which I dearly love. It has travelled with me around the world, near and far. However, all relationships come to an end. It is time for me to upgrade both my osx and my computer. When Macbooks being shipping with 10.6 pre-installed I will be a buying!

Bugs problems phewwwww !

Yeah I am switching to Mac soon and saving for a new Imac purely because of Logic (everyone else I am working with is using it and I'm sick of converting files to produce in cubase and having to re do all the dynamics) but now I have an incentive to wait a bit longer till they are selling with the new os installed.

shortyg.....For the first couple of weeks, they will probably ship with Leopard installed, and a copy of Snow Leopard just dropped in the box. I'm also waiting a few weeks to get a new iMac.

I think I'll be going for it pretty quickly...sounds the biz to me. Maybe see me in the Apple store tomorrow...
