Thai counting system
The Thai counting system is similar to the western counting system. The general rule is that the leftmost digit is mentioned first, for example: For 12, it is the digit 10 followed by 2, hence "sìp-sŏrng". For 30, it is 3 times of the digit unit 10, hence "three ten" or "săhm -sìp".
But 20 is "yêe sìp" (not song-sip). Historically, yêe mean 2 use for 20-29.it is old thai word. And 1 in the first digit (such as in 11, 21, etc..) is pronounced "et”
