Just to try to reclaim my dignity in that I had it from a reliable source that Shutter Island was opening this week in Bangkok.

For those of you wondering what this journal is about . . . we had an event to go see Shutter Island on Sunday.  To my surprise it was not playing at Central World . . . or BigC . . . or the Lido . . . or Siam Paragon.  

But according to BK Magazine it opened on Mar 18 even though the listings we saw online said it was still "Coming Soon"  

WTF?!??  

WTH...gave ya an excuse to go drink beer!

Bill, the same happened when I wanted to go and see Invictus. Major Cineplex website had it as an coming attraction opening in early March. Yet it never came is gone from the coming attraction list too. WTF, indeed???

Opening dates can change at the last minute due to distribution issues for both Thai and foreign movies or sometimes due to another movie having a good run. It happens fairly frequently.

That being said, my local pirated DVD shop is already selling a 100% master quality DVD of the movie!
