So much hype for this blue creatures movie, many good reviews "the best movie i've seen in my entire ******* life", "surpass my highest hope".... waka waka waka..... and is said that the best viewing pleasure for this flick is to see it on  IMAX 3D huge screen. So i dragged myself there to find out that all rounds are fully booked and perhaps for the next week or so, and of course i had no booking this weekend, motherf@!$#!(*&!@$..... The only seats available are first front row, well usually front row seats are best for anything else but not in this case and i won't settle for anything less than than best seats in the house for this movie! I suggest anyone intent to do it in IMAX be sure to book your tickets in advance. OK, rant over. Anyone interested to join sometime next week, PM me. bye.

I'm shocked at the reviews, it looks like another tatty Yanky action movie, but hey ho, if its not playing on the plane tonight, I'll save it for imax in a couple of weeks.

I almost get to see it yesterday but because of my lazy ass so I skip it! LOL would love to join but definitely need to know schedule in advance so that I can manage time. ;-)

I went to see it in Esplanades 3d theatre... I never got into the hype at all, but really must say this was a stunning film. The CGI was so good in fact that you kinda forget and soon became immersed into Cameron's environment .. Ohh big Kudos for the voice and acting of Zoe Saldana, who stole the whole movie as the Na’vi huntress...

This is the best 3d work you will see to date by a wide margin.. It's a little tacky on the message but it's an interesting take on environmental problems and the selfishness of man. Definitely a must see for everyone and i would be surprised if anyone didn't enjoy it.

I've seen on Thu., yes the first day! I asked somebody to get the tickets in the afternoon and seen it evening. It was a very beautiful movie and I loved it! Unbelievable, I had a dream about the land like Pandaro many years ago, and today I'd seen it...thank a lots James Cameron. It was like a Sci-fi adult disney...

I think I gonna see it again in 3D theatre! See you all there :)

Well the preview looks ok, but a little like any animated action game or movie. The point of using special effects in a movie used to be to enhance the story but in such a way that no-one really knew that it was a special effect - or at least that it left them thinking hard about whether it was real or not. I love good SF, but now we see movies that exist purely as a vehicle for special effects...and I may be wrong, but this certainly looks like another candidate...it also appears to be a none-too-subtle message movie hammering home the environmental viewpoint with a touch of "them and us" thrown in for good measure....but that may just be the distortion introduced by the editing of the preview...

It does look spectacular though, I will grant you that....

Please also allow that I may have viewed this through the cynical filter of someone who has worked in the media for a very long time.... so maybe it really is pretty good...I look forward to the opportunity to prove myself wrong!

yea, watching movies in IMAX is pretty much wasting your time and money unless you are a big fan of it. I once went in an imax for Star-Trek in San Francisco (it was my first and only time experiencing the IMAX, I have no ideas if the screen size is the same as everywhere else but it was huge like 5-4 story building) I found myself couldn't focus so well, it was tooo big and my neck hurt~ ><" I would pay for a blue-ray dvd instead of the ticket and get cozy on the couch with a bowl of popcorns!

BTY, no comments about the movie , haven't watched it yet! BUT WILL DO!
