My Northern Road Trip

Not sure if p'Danno is still around TF. hopefully, he will see my journal here.It's quite late to talk about my Pee Mai trip believe me I just was in the mood to talk about it lol.
I'm sorry this is a long journal again... cuz I don't wanna break it in 2 parts. OK. let's start then.Before new year eve, my friends and I went up to the north of Thailand, we agreed to stopped at Tak, then Lampang then Lampoon and stay in Chiangmai for 2 nights, at Green Lake hotel ( I just know it belongs to Army p'Nui, one of our gang, she is a soldier can get 50% discount for 2 rooms, about 2500 baht) Anyway, I don't know when did our plan changed. My 2 Ph.D. friends want to extended the trip, so it was really hard to find a place to stay on 1st Jan. Started at Ayutthaya, we left Ayutthaya about 6 am. and drove along the way, we stopped by Tak province for breakfast, I called my friend in Tak asked about good place to eat. She told me how to get there but when I saw Ping River, I forgot everything she told me... cuz it was so nice to see that river... I love it. hehe then we just find something to eat in a market that's all.
After we full fill our stomach... travel get really start. We went to Lampang to see Prathat Doiping, the temple was quiet nice and peaceful. 
There is something amazing, an uncle who work at Prathat invited us to a church to show the Prathat Shadow (color) looked so beautiful.
Next stop is Prathat Haripunchai in Lampoon.
Not far from Prathat Haripunchai, there is a market sell local goods and behind the market there is a noodles restaurant which soup made from longan.
Time to get to Chaingmai, that moment I really wanna get to our hotel and take a nap.
The hotel was really nice kha... we stayed near the swimming pool, lovely, I didn't take a nap but just enjoy swimming there before having night out.We really wanted to try Khantok (traditional food northern set, you will enjoy Thai traditional show while you eating Khantok) So I asked the hotel receptionist to gave us advice and book table for us. Khantok at Khumkhantok was so pricy and food there sucks. It might cuz of new year time... service sucks too... hrrrrrrrr...fuckin' expensive for that night 2000++ that we paid.
After sitting there for a while and we didn't enjoy it, so we think we should go back to the hotel and sleep. While we was walking to take a bus or taxi... I saw Fish spa, Fish Actually, I heard from Radio in Chiangmai. It was quite interesting. My friends agreed to try. 150 baht (student price) hehe
New day had come.... I really love to enjoy the view while i was having breakfast... Cold Milk with Coco Crunch was the best dish for me.
We went up to Doi Sutep early before many people will get there. Yeah a million people I guess.Enjoy the view before getting up there.
Look!! so many cars. We didn't have time to enjoy walking cuz we had to go to Chiangrai to see flower show and find a place to stay, so better take the elevator. 
Hurry up "Wai Pra" and walk round, cuz another mission in Chiang Rai. As a working hard navigator, I could sit at the back seat and took a nap, thks heaven. I woke up when we arrived flower show.I took a lot of flowers photos... show here part of them.
I have no luck about finding hotel... so better go back to Chiangmai. A friend of us found a place to stay in night bazaar. It wasn't good one but better than nothing.OK the next day before we leave Green Lake hotel to a hotel in night bazaar I took some pics around the hotel... I think I will come back here again with a soldier hopefully.
Shopping time.Baan Taway is famous about teakwood, wood stuff... I fell in love with the furnitures there... but don't know how to bring them back to BKK.
While we were trying to find the night bazaar, we passed an interesting temple, the church made from silver.and we did "Tung" northern people believe it can extend our live, get better life something like that.
Nearly the end of day... after took a nap at Night Bazaar place... that was very scary hotel for me..DR.Prissy said we should go to have a nice dinner, I wanna go to "Huen (house) Suntaree"Suntaree Wechanon, is a famous northern classic singer. She got married with an Aussie guy (I guess) her daughter is Lanna Cummings, a famous pop singer in Thailand.I like this restaurant... beautiful and food was so great! .
After eating we went to Gad Sum Mued (Dark market) Gad = market. Sum= gather, Mued = dark. I couldn't take good pic cuz i didn't bring my tripod along... and yeah it's dark. Before we get back to our hotel room, we walked around night bazaar, nothing to buy cuz it's same as Nana... hrrrrrrrrr.
Get good sleep, the next day we left Chiangmai to BKK.I saw a nice shop on the way between Chiangmai and Lampang. It's "Baan Ajarn" they sell bakery and kanom.
That's all of my northern trip..The next place is Pai. I wanna rent a van, finding more ppl to join my trip.
