This is crazy. It never rains in Bangkok around this time. If you're planning on being outdoors for the big Central World countdown, you might want to think again.A friend setting up the rooftop party at Central World (Green Space) is saying they might cancel this years outdoor portion because of rain and lightning! It's a lot warmer than normal around this time. Usually it's cooler and drier.

I almost got caught outside during this. I was about 30 seconds from my home and had to sprint inside...still got soaked.

Forecast stations aren't even picking up that it's raining here because no one believes it!

Thai radio just said that this rain will last another hour or so, and a second round will come around 9-9:30 tonight for 1.5-2 hours...how the hell they can honestly predict that is beyond me.

I think they just wanted to say that at midnight everyone can be dry...

(but up until 11:30 pm is another story)

Its been raining on and off for the last two days here. Mostly on, and its also freezing cold, so the combination of the two is horrible.

Still, five weeks to go,and back in LOS.
