Being the FC I oversee Admin things here at work. An hour ago the admin girls told me that  someone was illegally parked in one our bays. Normally I would just get them to write a note and leave it on the vehicle however, as a result of one of our employees getting a fine for accidentally parking in another bay a few weeks ago, I told them to get the vehicle clamped!

After the vehicle was clamped, I was told that there is a baby seat in the car and its going to cost $150 to get out of the clamp. Now I’m feeling bad about it as I have conjured up images of a poor innocent mum having to pay $150. Will the child go without food?? Hmmmm Serenity now!

I dont think its a question of wrong or right. If its private property and there are clear notices that non-staff cannot park there and what are the consequences, then ok. But the question is: does the punishment fit the 'crime'? And: does the threat of clamping wheels etc actually work effectively?

It might sound a bit harsh but otherwise the society will get messy and it's chaos..

nah, you did the right thing, no need to feel guilty.. Remember, if she gets too hungry, she could always eat the baby!

some wheel clampers r real sharks ... if it was a 1st time offence maybe a note would have been enough !!

I just paid the fine today 500b just because driving few seconds after the red light passed an intersection in Bangkok.

500b is big amount for me too.. :-(

And no one feels guilty .. :-(

Don't worry about it, she got the baby bonus which was partly funded by you, the taxpayer.

i wouldn't worry about it too much. i got a ticket for driving and talking on the cell yesterday. I was well aware it was illegal as i was doing it. I dont blame the cop.
