Little Feet 7
Jeab is showing, and the baby is kicking It's been fun putting my hand on Jeab's stomach when the baby starts dancing around. She dances a lot when we watch movies together for some reason...so we've been watching a lot of movies.Jeab is eating more than I eat now, which quite the feat. It's funny when she says this, but she says it often: "I don't want to eat, but the baby wants to eat. I'm not hungry, but she is asking for food!" I laugh, and try to give her whatever she needs. One night I took her bicycle to the beginning of our soi to get her noodles. It's a small bicycle so my knees would go up to my chest at the top of the rotation...the motorcycle taxi guys didn't know whether to laugh at me or offer to help. Of course by the time I got back she didn't want the noodles anymore and had fixed herself a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. She's been getting cravings for farang foods, which is interesting. I'm cooking a bit more often now...steaks, pastas, and some of my childhood comfort foods (grilled cheese sandwiches with tomato soup, Japanese soba, etc.) She's also developed a liking for Sizzler's soup and salad bar...food food food.Today we finally picked up our Honda JaZz. We ended up getting a new 2010 since the used car market here is insane. We also got the Nuvi 205 wide screen GPS Navigator...really helpful and highly recommended. Yoma is nervous about it, but I think he'll like it...especially when we take him to Hua Hin.
So now we have something to put in our driveway besides that bicycle.
I've been trying to find a suitable teaching job, which has been a lot harder than I expected. Basically, I would like to devote 3 days a week to teaching math or English, but most places are interested in full time teachers. One place said ok, but that I would have to give up my Thai company and fully devote myself to a part time job...wtf? Anyway, I'll keep looking throughout the year...If I can't find anything by the end of the year, I think I'll have to forget about wanting to teach for some time.Hmmm...what else? Our due date is supposed to be on July 3rd...and my family will come and visit one month later. It's difficult to imagine how life will be at that time. It's almost as if I'm imagining myself in a family movie on the Disney Channel and none of it is real...but yes, it's real. If I'm not ready, I'll have to be ready. That's enough for now...time to go eat again. The JaZz will have to stay at home tonight while I'm out celebrating the 25% of me that is Irish!Happy Saint Patty's Day, everyone.
