Red Shirt Aussie Released

David Conner Purcell, the Australian who took to the stage during the red shirt protests to regale the crowds with his military analysis of various grenade attacks has plead guilty and was released from jail.  He was given a 45 day sentence (the same given to Englishman Jeff Savage over a month ago) but since he had spent more than 45 days in jail and was released.

On July 8 when Savage plead guilty and was released Purcell defiantly pleaded not guilty, insulted the judge, and has been held in prison awaiting trial.

What a chucklehead.

Sorry, he's on his way back home. The red shirts are glowing that he'll write a book about his experience in Thai jail and help get more media attention for them.
