Why?

Why do websites try to get all tricky like this? I was trying to sign up for a Thailand Friends account on Flickr and the signup page is entirely in Thai. There is nothing on the page to take you to an English language version.

I had the same thing happen quite often with Facebook and MySpace when I lived in Gibraltar (and English speaking country). They would always show me pages in Spanish because Gibraltar's ISPs must funnel their traffic through the Spainish system so the IP maps to Spain.

Argh!

I generally hate this re-directing to other versions of a page. If I key in "www.google.com" or "www.google.fr" I have a reason why I do this but still, google brings me to "www.google.at" and there is nothing I can do about it.....

But having no option to change from the Thai version of an international page to an English one is really ridiculous!

I think they should use the browser language. It's a little techie but whenever you open a page your web browser send information to the website. One of those pieces of information is the language of the browser (like Safari v1234 US/en). If I'm using a browser in English you can probably assume that I can read English. If I'm using a web browser in Thai then show me the Thai page.

But the worst part is there's no way to pick English!!!!

I don't think I can trust Translate programme especially at Google.

btw some info(S) on weps are not that important as you just want to sign it in and there are only few boxes.

normally 1st box is where you need to put you username

and 2rd is for password

everyone knows a very small box below those2 boxes I've mentioned is a checked box if you want to remeber your id or password.

then enter! not that complecated

and there is a tool if you want to change ur language.

not a big deal lol

but it's annoying i know :D
