Good tips on banking in Thailand. Especially regarding stuff you should do before you move here. I was lucky because I was already living and working overseas before I moved to Thailand so I already had a lot of this kind of stuff in place before I moved.

Great post, I got an account pretty easy at the K bank on Phattanakarn Road. They were just looking for some additional paperwork that said you were staying here. It was really easy.

I got mine at the "falang friendly" branch he mentions (near Soi 33). In and out without any hassles. I did have a student visa at the time though so your milage may vary. :-)

Some are. But as for me, I have a UK (actually Gibraltar) and Malta bank account so no worries.
