Bang! Bang! 2!
Yesterday's event was awesome. It was great exercise, and way too much fun to shoot English Bob between the eyes. If you've never done paintballing, it's such a thrill. It hurts enough so that you do not want to get shot, but it's not overwhelmingly painful. When you're behind your barricade and you're pinned down, it's actually a bit scary. You can hear each shot either zoom by your head, or you hear the BAP BAP BAP of them breaking on your barricade. So it's pretty crucial to keep moving so that you don't get pinned down. My legs are pretty sore from our 3 hours of paintballing.
It's a great adrenaline rush. Each round lasted about 5 minutes. When we would come off the field to reload, our hands would be shaking. We all realized how out of shape we were pretty quickly. Regardless, when you're out there, you don't get tired. Taking a rest is the last thing on your mind when there are paintballs coming at you at 400 feet per second.
There was an organized league of BB gun teams practicing and competing whenever we weren't on the field. We probably looked like clowns running around the field without much organization, but hey, we had a blast (pun intended). I'd really like to make this a weekly thing as it's a great thrill, relatively inexpensive (about 600 baht for 3-4 hours), and makes for some good out of the bedroom exercise.
Here are some vids of the playing fields and EB after I shot him in the goggles.
Then we had some mexican donuts at Charlie Browns.
