You have no right
One of the things about being Admin is that every time someone gets banned or this or that happens I always get a PM or two from someone I don't even remotely know asking if I would share intimate details of what happened with them.
This happens even when well-known members are involved and I post that we are not going to air dirty laundry. A decision was made, this is what it is, and everything else is between the people involved. Yet, I still get PM's asking me to let them in on what happened behind the scenes even though I don't know them.
A related similar sort of message we get is a friend of a friend's boyfriend's friend writes to say that a member wants their account deleted immediately. Or the old "I don't remember my password and I've changed email accounts and I obviously have a male name and I want you to send me the login info for someone who obviously has a female name."
I know a lot of people who have legitimate account change requests might get a little annoyed at the level of proof we require for some things but the stuff I mentioned above is almost daily. We try to protect people's privacy on the site as best we can and we try to accomodate everyone but we also have to make sure that we're not violating anyone person's privacy.
So the bottom line is why we ban people or do this or that isn't your business unless you were involved . . . you nosy little bugger. And if you want some sort of major change to your account look at it from our perspective. Would you want us to let any idiot who emails us and says that he's a friend of yours to delete or change your account? Or do you want us to let anyone claiming that they're you and that you lost your password and email account and can't give any sort of evidence that the account belongs to you to be able to have access to your account?
One of my all time favorites was a guy we banned who was pretending to be a woman. He kept insisting that he was some Thai woman living out in the provinces despite the fact that we had his IP address and he was logging in from the UK every session. So when he screamed his innocence one too many times I told him that we would unban him if he could send us a picture of himself (as the women he claimed to be) holding up today's edition of either The Nation or The Bangkok Post. We never heard from him (or her) again.
