A bit of late-lunchtime levity now, in a story that's being picked up by many news sites online. A woman at her home in Kingswells, near Aberdeen, had a nasty shock when she found a 5ft-long snake in her loft - not what you want when you're trying to do the housework.

After a quick phone call the Scottish SPCA came to the rescue, using their finely honed skills to deal with... what was actually a lookalike draught excluder.

For those of you worried about Sid the Snake's future, rest assured - it's now having a comfortable life, presumably excluding plenty of draughts, at the Scottish SPCA's Aberdeen Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre.

I had never heard of a draught excluder before. LOL.
