Little Feet 33 - Settling in...again

Having some nice weather to come back to has been a big help. Jeab and I have spent a lot of time looking for a new place to live, and we found a great place right outside of Boston. It reminds us a lot of Centre Point in Thailand, but much bigger. There are about 20 buildings, tennis courts, fitness centers, pools, pool tables, movie theaters...all within the community. There is also a Hooters 1 mile away.

We've also been busy going to different restaurants, symphonies, petting zoos, and plenty of shopping...boo on the last item. Today we visited one of the Thai temples here in Massachusetts, and it was great. There was a class for Americans who want to learn Thai that I sat in on, and classes for children who want to learn Thai as well. There were about 50 people there today, more than half of which were Thai. They served a aroi Thai buffet, had a monks' blessing, and it was really a nice experience.

Later this afternoon, we went to the symphony. My sister, her husband, and her two young boys joined as well. Jasmine made it through about a third of it before she started talking...not too bad. We moved to the back, and she was having a blast. She loves the piano, and there was a piano concerto playing that she loved. She also knows the violin and cello well, so she was intrigued to see them all playing at once...good stuff. Tomorrow we are off to see the Boston Red Sox play (baseball).

Anyway, here are some pics from the temple, Wat Boston Buddha Vuraram.

Yeah, Wat Thai and Thai Town up in LA are really nice for getting a little taste of Thailand. There's also a Thai and Laos market about 10 miles up the road from us. Great for spices, fish sauces, and other stuff that are hard to find at your local supermarket :-)
