Lets see?

Normally I?d spend around 900-1,500 baht on one night out. Normally, I go out 3-4 nights a week. This week I only went out two nights. I was pretty glad ? it?s about time I should fill up my secret savings again!

Yet, temptation never dies. I really felt the need of ?spending?.

So Bam and I went to Central. Gotta admit, after you spent 300 baht for a glass of poor quality cocktail ? everything else seemed so CHEAP!

And here?s the comparison:

CLINIQUE 200ml bottle of Toner = 750 baht

Equals: Entrance fee to Q Bar plus a pack of cigarette (and tip) = 740 baht

HYBRID Camouflage PANTS = 1,690 baht

Equals: One night of Bar-hopping on Silom (or KawSarn)

CHERILON Arms Accessory = 45 baht

Equals: A taxi ride home = 50+ baht

L?oreal eye liner = 270 baht

Equals: One drink at Mystique = 280 baht

Revlon lipstick = 500 baht

Equals: An entrance fee, and taxi ride to BED = 480 baht

Then tonight at first, I wanted to go to Café Lenotre for cake and coffee ? But ran out of time.

Now Café Lenotre would have costed around 200 baht.

But the substitutes ended up as:

Three pieces of fruits = 30 baht

Milk = 10 baht

Orange juice = 20 baht

Red Bull (to go with my Vodka) 10 baht

Noodle from a stall = 20 baht

WOW ~ that?s only 90 baht in total.

?Then that would mean I can still go grab a Tiramisu ?

So what valued better?? Shopping? Or night out?

I enjoy a night out but at times I regret it when I wake up the next day and relise I have 20 baht left over from 2000 baht the night before. Then I wish I had gone shopping.

Malky.... Better than me, i woke up with 20 baht left instead of 1,020 baht.

My friend said, next time just spend it all on the drinks - if i'm gonna lose it anyway.

oh, please don't make me think of this. my friend and i had this same conversation about two weeks ago... there was a five year period in my life where i went out drinking about 4 to 5 nights a weeks at about an average of $50 US per night. so let's do the math. 4.5 times 50 weeks equals about 225 times out per year times 5 years equals 1125 total times out drinking at $50 equals $56,250...a that is a low estimate. So we figured that i spent somewhere between $60,000 and $80,000 (2,800,000 baht) in just going out a drinking. DAMN!!! Think of all the nice things i could've done with that money!!!

But then again...i have a lot of nice memories and friends that i've met from going out and drinking...and there are also a lot more memories that I have probably forgotten because of the alcohol...hehehe. its a good thing that i only drink once a week now!!!

3-4 nights a month is already too much for me... but u ... 3-4 nights a week ..
