so does anyone actually know where the forum topics keep disappearing to? ...loads of good topics grew legs and ran away! and the general discussion forum dosent seem to be able to expand to more then one page of topics, its been on 52 topics for at least a week and i know more have been added, so i guess its a case of add one lose one? ...where did my "your house is on fire" topic go from the top ten forum? ...where did the tf look alikes post go from the general discussion forum? etc. etc. ...anyone else missing a topic or two or ten? seems that everyone is encouraged to use the forums more, but wots the point if the topics just disappear? lots of unanswered questions! meh!

Did you try the 'display topics from the previous' near the bottom where you can select a timeframe and then click on 'Go'? Perhaps the page is limited to display only 52 topics? I'd like to know what is the advantage of making a topic 'Sticky'. Maybe a Q to the admin or one of the moderators will get you an answer on the phantom topics. Hopefully something gets posted here in your Journal, I'll be watching for it...

jimba, way ahead of you bro but yeah great minds think alike, and surely we must be great minds (NO COMMENTS PLS). i emailed admin and here's the story:

"It seems "auto-pruning" was turned on by default when I added moderators to each forum. This option automatically deletes topics that have not been posted to within 7 days. I did not recognize this fact until I re-checked the forum settings this afternoon. I've turned auto-pruning off which should put a stop to the disappearing topics. "

so basically blame the damn moderators, those idiots.... ah... um.... never mind.
