Yeah I think everyone hurt about this news already, it's the big headline this morning....

I usually take subway and skytrain to work... So lucky me again that I worked late lastnight, my dad think that i was so sleepy. He gave me a ride to work.

So sorry for a hundred ppl who were injured. Well, we don't know exectly about how did it happended yet. It might from the computer prob. That's what the electronics stuff. However, that station if u can see, it's the biggest one... sometimes they let another train out during the rush hour..

From the interview that i heard from the radio this morning. He is the big shot. He said like it's not a big deal as Tsunami (but 100 injured) Well, in my idea, that's different. Tsunami is about the nature. Hard for human to control but in this case. We wanna know exactly what happened. They have to let us know and should fix it immediatly and make ppl feel safe. CAN U TRUST THE SYSTEM anymore?

For me, i still take the subway and skytrain. (If they reopen it)

Not sure but wasn't the official test run a few months back delayed as well because of a 'malfunction'?

I heard about this too, and was going to head from Silom up to Ratchada this morning cos I wanted to go to Furtune IT, but was busy fighting with my gf instead so I missed the opportunity to go.

I'll still use the subway and the skytrain.....

If this was human error [even computer program error] then some ass is surely gonna be kicked?

I just saw a brief mention of it on Fox News here stateside (approx 2305 hrs, I am -15 hrs from BKK), I was flipping channels. So, what are the details? Which station stop? How many hurt? etc, etc. Surely you don't expect us all to reley on the Thai gov't to 'inform' us? They're afraid of the truth 'cause it *may* scare away the tourist.....

In any case, hope that no TF-ers, or any others for that matter, were hurt too badly...

Happened at Thailand Cultural Center. An empty train backed into a full train as it was pulling out of the station.

Took 10 minutes for the track guy to find the keys to open the doors so people could get out.

Modern subways are supposed to (least the ones that I know) have failsafes that prevent such things.

It's a shame that the problems I have heard about during construction (like having to redo a significant number of the platforms because someone didn't check the height of the train doors) seems to have carried on into operations

Haven't heard that anyone was killed, hope it stays that way!

It was strange to hear the Thai leader on tv today say that "It is human error and we can fix that. The system is perfect.... only the brake is manual and that is not good. According to the book it is best for the brake not to be manual".... After that the interview was over.

Sad. I hope they get enough security measures in place now to avoid further accidents.

i think if it's about system error no one let us know. for sure. cuz if they told us that cuz of system error ppl won't trust this train anymore right?

It's better if they let us know like this.
