Hi IT Gal and Guy,

I have a problem with my pc at home. It is WINDOW XP. I make the plug off by error so the computer turns off. When I put the plug in again and turn on my computer. It could not work any more. The start button does not work. I can not even shut down. It keeps running and running. When I put CTRL+ALT+DELETE it shows error login and status is not responsing. It runs for a while before I get the remark ?THE FUNTION YOU ARE TRYING TO USE CANNOT BE ACCESSED AT THIS TIME. TO FIX THIS PROBLEM, PLEASE RESTART WINDOWS; INFO NUMBERR: 236?

How can I do as I can not even restart it??

Any one can gives me a hand. Thank you very much in advance.

Cheers

Ok, lets try.. Boot your computer again and while it's booting to window, you have to press F8 (or F5 not sure) then set it to safemode and go to program-> accesory-> system tools -> system restore then try to restart again if it works!!

If it doesn't work.. hmmm then you should format hahaha.. i hope it's not that bad.. how to fomat is insert a bootable CD on and then it will go to DOS operating and if you have some files on C-drive then safe them to some disk else like D or E or whatever then you can format your PC.

I hope it helps you.

i had that once too. What i saw was that windows was busy doing an automatic update. While he was updating i couldn't shut my computer off and i've got the same msg as u mentionned. Just let him finish the updates and normally it should work fine afterwards. I hope it's that and nothing more serious
