S123arpedon
Only 1 game has been played and that was Arsenals demolition of Leeds yesterday! 5-0 with Henry getting 4 goals in that game. He has sscored 5 hatricks now for Arsenal!! 10 points clear with only 5 games to go...Henry really is an awesome player! Leeds have only 4 games to save themselves from relegation. They are 2 points behind Portsmouth who are in 17th placve but they have 2 games in hand! its looking pretty desperate. They might be even worse off depending ont he results of the games tonight. John
Couldn't believe Man U lost to Portsmouth (1-0) , at this rate their chances for second place is pretty slim.. -John-
S123arpedon
Portsmouth played out of their skins yesterday..some desperate defending saw them preserve their lead but they deserved it. Man U played pretty poorly. The last few weeks of the season often throw up freak results since teams are fighting for their lives! Wolves beat Carling cup winners 2-0 with some great goals! Its a shame they are still going down though. Liverpool should have won their game but their penalty woes continue...doesnt matter who takes em! Not a great penalty but i didnt think it should have been a penalty int he first place. I think Newcastle with get 4th as at it stands now and they are 1 point behind Liverpool but they have 2 games in hand. Not sure what their goa difference is though. Houllier has to go...no choice i think...they will move him 'upstairs' Chelsea didnt play so well either. Lampard did play well though and dit the post once and the bar once! I still dont rate himt hat much though!! lol I think the last relegation spot will be between Leeds and Man City. They went down 1-3 to Soton. Blackburn beat Leicester with an own goal abd taht gives them some breathing space. Spurs lost 2-0 at Bolton and they could do with 1 more win. I dont know where that is coming from...they are playing like a team of pink poodles at the moment! Where is the fight, the passion, the pride? They have to play Arse next week and if they continue playing the way they have been i fear a massacre..especailly if Henry continues his current form! If Henry doesnt win PFA Player of the year it will be a traversty..(and this coming from a spurs fan)!!
S123arpedon
Man U close the gap on Chelsea with a 2-0 win over Charlton..Saha and the Neviller getting a goal each! What is going on with that....we expect Saha to score but the Neviller? Thats 2 in a week for him now!! Disaster for Ranieri if they lose second as it also looks like they might be out of the CL too...Even when Man U are on a bad run and seems like they have defemnsive troubles, you cna never dismiss them... Ezzzer
I think for Chelsea, most of their players are really good as individuals but when they come together, they could not perform. But I just hope that they will get the second spot at the end.
S123arpedon
Its very hard when you bring so many new players in...different nationalitites and different style of play...I think Ranieri has done a grand job is getting them to play as they have done...in their first season together...you only have to look at the smaller teams who dont have as technically gifted players but collectively as a team they work for each other and can get results with that...
