admin
In Bangkok? Hard to say but I know there seem to be a lot of Harley riders down in Phuket so that might be a better place to look for shops.
TrusteeTiger
Yea. The shop isn't the problem it's how to register a custom build. I know people order in parts and don't pay tax but I really want to know if it's possible to order in kits to build and register in thailand. PiAnt
You can import vehicle parts and put them together to create a vehicle which should be registered for which you would have to pay the registration fee of around 65,000.00 baht (plus whatever they can think up, which could be more based on the actual price of the complete vehicle overseas), assuming you are a private individual, in which case you can have one. If you plan on starting a manufacturing/building concern you would be advised to consult a Thai business lawyer who could advise you on the right way to go about it. For parts manufacturers try to get hold of a copy of the hefty Thailand Automotive Industry Directory which lists local providers of everything from raw materials to powder coaters. Though I can definitely see a market for high quality custom made stuff for the hiso wannabe rebel types I'm afraid it'll be too long winded a process to get off the ground. Still, good luck with it.
