Any new Place to hangout in bkk?

Does anyone know the good place to hang around at night in bangkok?? I'm sick of Q-bar ,the Mystique, and those around Khao-san road.. tho i like the style of Shamerock there (good live band) I wanna shake my booty !! with cool D.J. spin great tune ..

Any place that no bar girls?? I hate to be surrounded by them :(( They should ban them entering the club :roll:

problem is not the bar girls but the farangs who follow them :wink:

i used to camp at Qbar , but since bar girls started to come in masse , so did their clients and now QBar looks more like a gay bar than anything else, and i don't go anymore .

mystique used to be ok, but then the same thing started there along with the african coke dealers.

there are cool good places with live bands around ekkamai and thonglor where there is no bargirls ( for how long still ?)

on the other hand , bargirls are human beings too, they didn't choose to be born poor. how can one bar them entry to any club? on what grounds?

remind me of some guy who refused to salute and invite my friends because he thought they were hookers (when in fact they are very respectable professionals) . pityfull attitude he had judging people at first sight.

I have been to the hip-hop bar at ekamai ..was ok ..but can be boring some night .. i will check out the santika i heard that it is good.. around Thonglor i like the bom bay bar .. it way too crowded on the weekend thx for ur info..

talking about bar girls .. well i understand they are a human too and i dont look down on them .. I just dont like their behavior .. ways they chase guys ..way they talk .. something like that.. i didnt mean to insult any of them ( but if i did by accident i apoligize )

I have been to Santika a couple of times and it is definitely worth checking out. It is a bit pricey but on the plus side it doesn't get packed out like other clubs, so there is plenty of room to dance.

The last time I was in Q Bar, I was standing upstairs and I was approached by a Thai woman. She pointed out a group of Thai girls and told me I could have a girl for the night for 2000 baht. That pissed me off as this is what you would expect in Soi Cowboy or Nana but certainly not in Q Bar. To take the piss even more, the girls she offered me weren't even attractive. I wouldn't have gone with them if they were free.

hmmm santika is not pricey compared to QBar ( if you buy by bottle ) red label is 1200 and black is 1800 bahts mixers are about 40 bahts a piece. but there too you can stumble across working girls on some evenings, not bargirls but a little higher end. the first band is way good playing punk rock and thai songs , they are real beasts on stage . the second band is in my opinion quite lame ( i mean the tunes they play) even if the white and the black dudes singing are doing their best to entertain the crowd , the lady singer who is thin as a skeleton has no voice and seems to be bored.

another club on thonglor soi 10- ekkamai soi 5 " Boose" has the red at 900 and black at 1280 bahts and a special every tuesday night at 1000 for two red and 2000 for two blacks , mixers about 40 a piece. 2 good bands alternate each day playing mostly thai pop , and the DJ spins Hip Hop in between Gigs

Thanks for the info malky :wink: I really need space to shake my booty lol :roll: definitely gotta go to Santika WoooHooo!! MMM.. about Q bar I really like the D.J. there they spin good music ..however , it is way too packed in there ..besides , lots of .... ( as u mentioned above ) :? but believe me gulliver is wrose .. never been to NANA or Soi Cowboy .. it is not my scene :P

you know where i like most .. The MOS but unfortunately it shut down already ~sigh~ :cry:

yeah , MOS was a good place .

lady you should check out Anna's garden just before thonglor soi 3 , good music , friendly atmosphere, not crowded as its not yet well known they have someone playing percussions like at the tapas. the only thing is that the drinks are not served as well as at QBar and they close at 1 am. the PR girl is very sweet and introduces the party goers to each other . definately a good place to go

hmmmm ..... check out the behaviour and speech patterns of some "non bar-girls". not a lot of difference sometimes !!
