Japhrodisiac
I'm flying into HK soon, just for a quickie stop over on the way to BKK. Any tips on an area to stay not too far from the airport? Any good cheap travel agents nearby on Lantau island? Any help appreciated.
Malky
If you stay near the airport there is nothing for you to see or do. You should stay in Kowloon. This is the most interesting area. It has the harbour and all the shops/nightlife etc.The train from the airport to Kowloon takes about 25 minutes. I don't know how long your stopover is but I would recommend staying at least one night. The harbour at night is spectacular and definitely worth the visit. roblin
If you are on a tight budget fly with Airaisa to Macau for 1000baht and then take the boat to Kowloon. Mirador Mansion i Tsim Cha Tsui has many good hostels for HKD40-100.
