Opening weekend and a few shock results...the big one being Bolton beating Charlton 4-1. Great result and will really give the Bolton supporters something to cheer about and there must be even more expectation with the load signing of Hadji-Diouf too.

Quite a few draws but everyone is a little cagey at the start of the season...will take about 6 weeks for it all to settle down. Spurs draw 1-1 with Liverpool. Cisse looks like a good striker but didnt see too much of his supposed explosive pace...Defoe looked great...a real livewire up fron and i have to say that Kanoute also looked impressive. Gonna take time to gel the team togehter with so many changes over the summer.

Boro and Newcastle draw 2-2. Bor equalising in the last minute through hasselbaink. Shearer and Bellamy on the scoresheet for the barcodes. Villa get a good start to the season with a 2-0 win over Southampton. I really think that Soton will struggle this season and even more so if they decide to sell Beattie.

The big game tonight between Chelsea and Manure! I really hope the reds can beat Chelsea...that would stick it to the red roman!!

Francesc Fabregas Soler the 'boy' looks awesome

..and he sports a mullet that most of the Spanish team would be proud of!!

Spurs need time to gel with some many new players coming in. Naybet and Atouba only had 1 training session with the rest of the squad before being thrown into the first team and having to play a 17 year old in the first game of the season shows the lack of depth...jsut wait till the injured players come back...

At least they showed some passion and steel throughout the team which they didnt have last season. Davis looks quality!

A***nal looked awesome in beating...sorry, thrashing Everton 4-1 at Goodison. Its only the first game of the season but they did look very good. Reyes looks like he has settled in and will do well this season, Ljungberg is back scoring again and Vieira will be around...for this season at least! but in Fabregas they look to have uncovered a gem! They will be hard to beat this season! Except at WHite Hart Lane where they will be beaten!!

Chelsea win 1-0 over Man U but it was far from convincing. The last 30 minutes it was all Man U and if they had had more strikers fit they would have got at least a draw. Chelsea played well in patches but at tmes they looked like the away side! Great goal but Howard was at fault i think. Drogba looks huge and he is quick!! He looks a pretty f'kin mean bas***d too!! That new Man U boy Miller looked very average...

3 horse race it looks like at the moment...

I have to say that i dont htink Poool deserved to win it. They had the better of the first half and sure, they did deserve their first half lead but spurs came out int he second half and played them of the pitch. It did help that Cisse and Baros were taken off...Overall i think a draw is a fair result then...

Good, well taken goal from Defoe but agreed that dudek shoudl have saved it. You should never be beaten at your near post like that! I think Robinson will be the new England keeper for the next few years now...Kirkland seems injury prone (can keepers be injury prone?)

Spurs have got Newcastle next game up at St. James's which will be a hard game. A very swift reunion for Carr! I would be happy with a draw from this game....Newcastle are hard to beat when they play at home.

And I predict that Sarp's forum post count will top 500 by the end of this year now that the EPL has begun again!

yeah but i will probably be having a conversation wtih myself mostly!! Anyway...Looks liek Spurs will try to signg Steve Finnan from Pool since they have a new midfielder in the exchange deal with Owen and Beattie looks like he will leave Sot'on soon...Charlton or Villa leading the chase with Villa more likely as they have had an offer already rejected by Wupert!!

There was talk to Kanoute being offered in exchange for Beattie but i would rather keep Kanoute. He played well agasint LIverpool despite having to go wide right for most of the second half....Redknapp should not play on the right wing..he is a central midfielder...are you listening Santini?? Lets play Ricketts or Davies when he is fit on the right and buy Duff from Chelsea since Mourinho is questioning his commitment...to play on the left...

Nice to see ya again on the forums E-bkk! You are on for the wager but instead of making it 500 baht how about a bottle of whisky? 100 piper, Spey Royal, Jonny Red or Black??

I heard that Strachen has been advising Villa on how to sign Beattie. What to offer Wupert and Beattie even went out with some of the Villa boys too? Dyer would be a bad move...too injury prone and bad attitude.

Spurs if they can get a few more signings...i think they can break into top 6 but anything above the top 8 and i will be satisfied. Whats better to see is that they are playing with some passion and pride now. At least they have some fight about them which they did not have last season at all. Wait till Keane and Davies are back in the team...

Apart from the usual suspects, I really think Everton will go down this season...but dont count out Man City or Blackburn.

It looks like Doherty will sign for Norwich when he returns from International duty. He has been a bit of a target for the boo boys at White Hart Lane recently which was a bit unfair, granted he is not the most talented footballer in the world but he does give it everything...hasnt been the same since he had a bad leg break a few seasons agon in pre season. Good luck down with Delia and the boys!

Spurs are afterr Carrick now...after missing out on Murphy and hargreaves it looks like Santini wants to bring in Carrick. Still undecided about him but if we can get him for a couple of mill i dont mind, he is still young and with the right coaching could improve his game.
