..... really... seriously. :?

Why do ppl like to come up with this sentence....

When you asked them "what do you fancy? Where should we go ? Which one ?

They said "arai Koh Dai.....

Its fine from time to time ... BUT

If you get to hear this for more than 5 times in a day .... its annoying!!

Especially, when you decided the place or whatever and then they appeared to dislike it.

Stop asking and do your own thing.

arai kor dai?

i LOVE to say if someone ask me about eating/going out because im lazy, i care less what or where and i have no better suggestions. i often didnt mind whatever the last decision was and who made it. there're also times i felt like i should have said or suggested sth, instead of having to be there not enjoying and bored to death. but hey that's the prize for saying arai kor dai, aint it? i wouldnt expect the best, if worst thing came up, i think i kinda deserve it.

Yeah.... I did that at times.... :D

lout dtere..

..... "leaw dtere" .... same same NO different.....

Really? I hate to be pedantic but I thought there was a fairly subtle difference. I thought 'arai godai' was 'up to you' in a 'neutral' way while 'leaw dtere' was 'up to you' in a slightly insulting way implying 'selfishness'.

Or not?

I seem to use this word loads as well and yeah it becomes annoying to those who hear :? but what makes me get a bit paranoid is when I say this word, the person ask me again to decide, then I suggest those/there/this/that but eventually they just pick what they want and have in mind instead..........

(heck) :P

both my aunt and her daughter aka cutie Sonja they have something in common..

when they ask me if i want this that or not.. if i aint say "yes" or "no" they will be pissed off ...and start strong accent "YES or NO"

like asking u want water or coffee or juice? if i say arai kor dai they wont gimme anything till i can choose what i want.. (it make sense tho')

I try to make decision quicker lately..

this sentence prompt me to come up with another sentence which Thais like to use. Not sure whether any1 of you encountered.

When i was working in BKK, whenever i asked colleagues where to go for lunch or dinner, they would always say UP TO YOU . For goodness sick, i was new to BKK then and where the hell i know served good food.

It does not stop at having lunch only, the same answer pops out when going for movies or shopping.....

I wonder is it the thai culture to always say up to you.....

P/S :It might not happened to you, but it certainly happened to me.
