Attn.

I Got your Contact From Thailand Friends and decided to contact you personaly For this.

I am Dr Ben Kuma, a citizen of Liberia, I work in Iraq as a Medical Doctor with JIMMYSTEN State Government Specialist Hospital, I had a case of a man that had an accident of Bomb Blast in Iraq, and he was rushed to the Hospital i work by some good Samaritans, I led a team of doctors to operate on him, but unfortunately, we lost him(He Died).

Upon the search of his briefcase to enable me issue a certificate of death and referral to the appropriate authority seeing that he was an alien, I discovered that he is a citizen of ENGLAND on a business in Iraq.

Further search revealed documents with which he deposited the sum of Nine Million,Three thousand U.S Dollars with a diplomatic Courier Company and evidence of the transaction(a picture of the money).

I have not been able to trace any member of his family, and no thanks to the fact that he was single. So you would readily appreciate that his status made it difficult fr me to get any of his relatives.

With my position as a senior medical doctor in the Hospital, and the fact that I am the only one preview of this information, the money is for me to claim if I could act as a next of kin, unfortunately, my citizenship of LIBERIAN and the role I have so far played would not permit me to do this.

In the light of this, I here by formally solicit your assistance to act as the next of kin if you accede to my proposition and the following sharing ratio.

E 25% of the Sum??? Yours,

E10% of the Sum??? Orphanage,

E5% of the Sum??? Settlement of expenses incurred on both side,

E60 Of the Sum??? Mine.

If you are interested in this transaction, then try as much as you can to contact me through my Email address and do not forget the utmost confidentiality should be maintained.

Regards,

Ben Kuma(Dr)

Best to at least give him a chance.

How often do you get to obtain this much money eh?

Like hell! These guys are just wankers and anyone wasting time or money deserves all that comes there way for being so bloody stupid!

I have had a few and I have to say sometimes I do reply and have some fun, obviously with the sole intention of screwing them around, it is great fun.

Firstly I mail them saying I sympathise and woudl like more informaiton, then after a mail exchange I explain there are strict laws in Thailand regarding the transfer of such large funds into the country and that they should contact the Finance Minister for assistance, or claim that I already have.......At least by doing this you can have a laugh and the mail is not totally wasted

Such solliciitation are known as "Advance Fee Fraud" scheme or a "4-1-9" (419 refers to the section of the Nigerian penal code that covers fraud) as most of the messages seem to come from Nigeria.

Its nothing new and it has been emptying the pockets of victims for decades, first through letters, then with faxes, and now via e-mail.

In any case, best practice is to ignore it and refrein yourself from thinking of getting some fun out of these guys. Firstly because it would automaticaly register your Email address as a valid one and you will start to receive zillions of other scam and trash email....

Btw, saddly as it was innevitable, see below,

Take Care

That can be fun, but let's not advise everyone to try that. There have been a number of cases where the recipient of the email took the piss out of the scammer at length, only to find that the scammer sent threatening letters and emails to the family and employers of that guy.

OK, I will only advise certain members to try it.

1) Jimba_the_hut

2) 2unique

3) Vodkaholik

I am sure these 3 individuals will be more than capable of handling the internet threats and have some fun in the process

I really don't think it is anything to get serious or be worried about.

It's the same when I advertise for staff: sometimes I get 500 responses by email. Am I to write to them all? Even trying to do it automatically would take a lot of time. That's just the way the world works nowadays.

Now, Conor, I suggest you get yourself a good HR Manager or employ the services of a Recruitment Consultant, having to look through 500 CV's is outrageous.

But people still expect "old fashioned" coutesy of an individual response. I think that's misplaced in these times

wow, courtesy is old fashioned?

glad i don't work for you

last time i looked, it was still free to be polite

time is money?

so is bad publicity, costs you lots of money

the cheapest form of advertising is still "word of mouth"

bad business practices, such as being too busy to be polite, is not old fashioned and lots of businesses have gone out of business because they forget that people have long memories and remember businesses that are too busy to serve the public. after all, who is going to come along and buy the products if you chase all the cutomers away?

as for tom being too busy to be polite, i thought by having these moderators, he was going to have lots of time to administer TF

i'm not here to run him down, i was just wondering if anyone else had asked to be a moderator and hadn't heard from him

SmartAss has just been added as a moderator too in the last day, an indication that nothing is fixed or decided on the issue of moderation...

hmm judging by the new moderator line up ( obviously very carefully scrutinised by er Mr "no tolerance" Admin   )can we now assume that swearing our ******* heads off has now been greenlighted?

i ******* certainly hope so .. otherwise my posts r going to be very ******* short ..

Meet me in the car park with a brown envelope and I'll furnish you with the full bribe list and each Mods price.

I think that the brown envelope smells like err... brown something, the left shoe is bigger than the right one, and your check bounced, but oddly, I'm still interested... :)

:D how much 100 bth

Take a look at 419eater.com if you want to see some fun ways the scammers have been scammed themselves.

I used to play around with some of them just to waste their time and to give me some laughs. If I can find some of my favourite correspondence I'll paste it here.

Enjoy

When i get any of these mails via one of my mail accounts i only use for regitrations ont he web i never use.

Like when you need a valid email for downloads and things like that.

Those mails are just perfect for tests. to see how many trojans you can hide in one mail.

As they tend to open every damn attachment you send them. lol. Please find my personal details attached in the Document ha ha ha .
