Good places to visit in Malaysia, Borneo, Vietnam, Indonisia

Hi all.

I'm coming back to bkk from June to August for work but I have around 2-3 weeks holiday in between, so now I'm trying to plan a trip around Malaysia / Indonesia or Vietnam. I've been looking at some of the places that airasia fly to, but would like to know where is good to go. If there are any good places for diving too that would be cool.

Any suggestions? What have made an impression on you guys?

Seasonal monsoon(west coast malaysia,Vietnam-most of peninsula s-e asia in fact) suggests that you head to east coast of Malaysia-(dive at pulau tioman ,or the Perhentians...oh yeah also sabah) and Indonesia(java eastwards)where its the dry season. Sumatra it p*sses down most months.Heaps of places and dive spots but generally speaking,Java is best for the site seeing stuff and Sulawesi/Moluccas/irian jaya better for diving.But you are bit limited by time.So plan carefully

You should go to east coast of Malaysia, there are many beautiful islands over there.....Pulau Perhentian, Pulau Redang, Pulau lang Tengah.

As for langkawi also a good spot to visit.

i think the best place to visit in Malaysia is either the border towns leading into Singapore or Thailand; but only for a moment before you leave.
