The emblem represents the figure of volunteer's smile and character of U, as in Universiade,

University, Universally and Unity.

UNIVERSIADE : the games of young people; who is the future of humanities.

Universiade is an international multi-sport event. The name is a combination

of the word "University" and "Olympiad"

UNIVERSITY : the institution of young people training for their work in the future, and here training for sports excellence as well.

UNIVERSALLY : the feeling of belonging to the one world. A world that can be seen in the faces of the ten thousand of young people who will meet together in the same city for these games: the athletes, the volunteers, the spectators at the events and lastly all the citizen of Thailand.

UNITY : to pursue understanding and friendship. The volunteers of Universiade Bangkok 2007 will serve as a catalyst to bring people from different background and countries together.

To put it short. For hosting an international sport events like this, I am sure there are big budget for making emblem and its description. Do not let Phu-Yai manipulate you. If they do not give budget for it, they corrupt for sure. Do not let them manipulate you to work on what you are not good at.

I think it should be ten thousands.

But then again, I only speak Korean :wink:
