zeusbheld
so the real question: is it a date movie? ummmm a friend wants to know.
robbie36
I liked the movie but I did find it somehow kind of disappointing, I dont know why. I think Homer captures it best when in the opening scene, the Simpsons family itself is sitting in a cinema and he says 'I cant believe we're paying to see what we can see on TV for free.' I guess I expected more from the movie than a 90 minute Bart Simpsons episode as great as that is. Still if Homer can sum up what I find disappointing in a movie in one sentence who I am to complain....

The Punisher
The first half had the best and most original gags, then it got a bit predictable, kind of the the writers had run out of good ideas.

condotown
When Homer's dad was rolling on the floor of the church babbling his nonsense and Marge told Homer to do something. Homer was paging through the bible and he desperately replied: "But this book doesn't have any answers!" ha ha ha... so true.

Slurms
As an adaptable human being , you should be able to predict any Simpson's "gag" long before it's arrived... still better than most shows , but I couldn't muster up any form of enthusiasm for "the movie" ...and it didn't disappoint my low expectations (ie : it was crap)

Look at the south park film...they didn't just make it 3 episodes of South Park...they went big on premise and plot , build mood/suspense etc....it didn't feel like a string of gags zipped together in a flimsy plot , like the simpsons movie did.. sorry...I still enjoy the simpsons , but the movie was crap . Slurms
same same but swap 'south park' and 'simpson's' Actually , you've missed the train . South Park used to be a show based around a bit of flimsy "shock" gags...now days it's comedy is situational , poignant , satirical and intelligent . I wouldn't say the same about the Simpsons movie in even the slightest sense .

alvish
No idea why people look too much into The Simpsons, If anything it's better now than ever... Or in Barts words "What? They're giving you thousands of hours of entertainment for free. What could they possibly owe you? I mean, if anything, you owe them."
