If I had a butterfly tattoo on my body, would it be understood as meaning i am a slag............ or is there an ancient meaning which missed me.

Reading between the lines, and it depends on who you ask, I would say yes in many but not limited to all cases and no idea in regards to having an ancient meaning.

The below two TF's certainly look good to me.

I thought that a "slag tag", or "tramp stamp"was what they called those tattoos that women have on their lower backs above the back of their jeans. Never heard of any bad connotations regarding a butterfly tattoo. thts not to say there isn't one.

Tramp stamp is definitely the one on the lower backs of a woman...also known as a "bullseye."

As far as a slag tag...your guess is as good as mine.

no its mutton button :P

i dont think i butterfly tat means anything and done tasteful can be very cute. but a word of warning do not have it or any tat done around your belly around, coz if you get pregnant it'll be spread cross you're belly.

I just can't get into the whole ink thing. Don't get me wrong I have dated girls with ink but just the small personal type of tats. Small flower or butterfly etc..

I was at the gym today and saw this very hot girl, my first view of her was from her right... nice body.. very pretty face ..etc.. then she turned around and had this large tat from her shoulder all the way down to her left elbow... I was immediately turned off. I see it more and more here girls getting ink to cover very large exposed areas of their body.. Just doesn't do it for me...

In German it's called 'Arschgeweih' which literally translated means 'ar*e antler'.

I love new words; If I had heard someone saying Arschgeweih before today, I would have probably said 'gesundheid' back...

This thread isn't debating the face that you may like or dislike tattoos on women. To answer the question directly, Yes, traditionally in Thai culture, prostitutes would get tattoos of butterflies.

In most Asian cultures, two butterflies is a symbol of love where as one is a symbol of freedom. I think this may be the origin of the tattoo's meaning. A woman who has decided to live her life freely and independent, or a promiscuous woman.

I think the most beautiful tatoo I ever saw (photo) was a lovely clean shaven muff with a butterfly tatoo over it. The clit/gash formed the butterfly's body, with wings either side. It was very symmetrical, and how to say, the picture suited the landscape ...
